When I left university, having obtained two degrees in Engineering and Commerce, I embarked on a career in Commerce and IT, living and working first in Vienna, then in London, and then in Sydney. While living in Sydney, I trained in Psychology and I was honoured to receive the 'Best Student in Psychology' award by Sydney University. By the time I returned to the UK, I was determined to pursue my passion and become a Psychotherapist. I undertook a five-year training course at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regents University in London to become an Integrative Psychotherapist. My practical training was obtained at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London and at Charing Cross Hospital, London. I obtained a Masters degree and Post Masters Advanced Diploma to become a UKCP Practitioner and gain BACP accreditation. I have since become a Senior Accredited Psychotherapist with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
I have been practising since 2002. My experience includes working for the NHS, in hospitals and at GP practices, and I have mentored counsellors for ChildLine. I have gained a vast amount of experience including in Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Eating disorders, Addictions, Relationship problems and Personality Disorders. I also support parents of children with SEN and neurodiversity.
I trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre, I have worked in private therapy services, and for a drugs and alcohol rehabilitation centre.
I am also trained and experienced in Clinical Supervision and have been a supervisor since 2005.
I opened my private practice in 2005 from where I help people with a wide variety of issues, and supervise counsellors and psychotherapists.
